Brett has been in general practice for the last 25 years and prior to that worked for the Inland Revenue. During that time he has amassed considerable experience assisting clients in running their business.

Primarily with a Tax background, he deals with all aspects of corporation and personal tax and assists clients with tax planning throughout, including Inheritance Tax and VAT. Capital Gains Tax is one of his favourite areas, incorporations a particular favourite. He deals with all sizes of business and individuals and considers a personal touch essential.

Senior Accountant

Experience & Specialisms:

Carrie qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte in London in 1999, and from 2000 worked in industry, specialising in the media and entertainment sector, generally heading up the finance departments.

Following a short break, Carrie has recently returned to practice, joining AFB Halling-Brown, where she focuses on accounting advice for owner-managed businesses.

Experience & Specialisms:

Amy ran her own bookkeeping business for 3 years providing business support, management and year end accounts on SAGE and manual records.  During that time she had developed a thorough knowledge of SAGE and business accounting requirements.

She now concentrates on year end accounts for clients and provides troubleshooting assistance for bookkeeping problems.

Accounts Assistant

Experience & Specialisms:

As a school leaver, Ginnie has joined AFB to train in bookkeeping and accounts and has currently completed her first year of AAT (Accounting Technician).

Ginnie assists a number of clients in maintaining bookkeeping records in house and assists staff in various roles as part of her training.

Experience & Specialisms:

After running her own secretarial business and employment agency for 15 years, Jane joined AFB over 2 years ago to provide the secretarial support to the firm.

Jane also has considerable experience in payroll and runs monthly payroll for clients.  She also deals with annual return forms and all office administrative requirements.
